High Brake House had a busy but fun run-up to Christmas. We started with handmade cards, gifts and Christmas cakes which our residents thoroughly enjoyed making. That was followed by our successful Elf Day. The residents, visitors and staff all enjoyed the experience which saw us raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. We were then treated to a Carol Service kindly brought to us from Saint Mary Magdalene C of E Church in Clitheroe, pleasantly followed by The Grand Choir later in December.
Our ‘special’ little choir visit was warmly welcomed from Clitheroe Saint Michael and Saint John’s RC Primary School. We also had the honour of a Mayoral visit and last, but by no means least, we had a special visit from the man himself, Father Christmas. This was a special day for our residents who welcomed the sound of Ho Ho Ho into our home.
We would like to thank the many people who have supported us and the people who have entertained us throughout 2019. We would like to wish you all a very happy and prosperous New Year.
